The engineering and aerospace group GKN has released employees in Brazil to build a bakery for a children’s home in Sao Paulo. The move, which is part of the company’s management leadership programme, is outlined in the community and environment section of its annual report. The group donated £1.37million ($1.99m) in community contributions during 2000 and made net profits of £528m.
