Computer network company Cisco has signed a partnership with the government of Jamaica and the United Nations Development Programme to set up 11 training centres for poor Jamaicans wishing to develop IT skills. The £970,000 ($1.4million), two-year project will provide training for more than 840 people and will begin in January 2002.
