Ford Motor Company is preparing a study of how its business operations affect employees, local communities and customers in India. It has decided to run the project as a preliminary step towards fulfilling its pledge to develop a formal human rights policy. The study is being carried out by Ford India, a subsidiary, which will publish the preliminary results early next year.
