Nokia is involving its staff in a project to help young people develop their communication skills in schools close to the company’s main sites in the UK.

After-school club volunteers will help teachers working with children on problem-solving, self-esteem and conflict resolution.

The telecoms company will pay to distribute lesson packs to more than 100 schools, following a pilot project in February that involved 20 schools.

The work is part of Nokia’s wider strategy to ‘improve the lives of young people worldwide through education’.
