Google tops best employer list

Google has been named as the United States’ best employer in the latest Fortune 100 list. The search engine giant, which has 18,500 employees in the US, was awarded top spot for the motivational aspects behind its “mission, the culture and the famous perks” available to staff. Other companies in the top 20 include the Boston Consulting Group, Wegmans Food Markets, which has been ever-present on the list since 1998, and Mercedes-Benz.
