Corporate progress on CSR has been labelled tangible but insufficient by the United Nations Global Compact, especially in human rights and anti-corruption areas.

The Compact’s latest implementation survey finds that companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, are on the whole still struggling to implement CSR principles adequately.

The survey, which registers the sustainability performance of more than 1000 companies participating in the Compact, shows that only 20 per cent conduct human rights impact assessments.
