Pharmaceuticals group Lundbeck has reversed its policy on the use of its drugs in US executions following a meeting with human rights organizations. Lundbeck was revealed to be among many companies to have their drugs, made for medical purposes, used to kill death row prisoners. The company said then that there was ‘nothing that we can do to control where the product ends up’. It has now said it will consider ways of stopping the ‘misuse’ of its epilepsy drug in executions.
