Toyota is to become the first car manufacturer in the UK to install a solar power system in a factory. A £10million ($16m, €11.37m) ‘array’ of about 17,000 solar panels will produce 4.6 million kWh of energy per year and will be in Toyota’s Derbyshire plant, in partnership with British Gas.
