The US dairy industry has published its first sustainability report. The Innovation Centre for US Dairy, which announced a voluntary goal in 2009 to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of a gallon of milk by 25 per cent by  2020, has produced the report as part of a sector-wide effort to improve the industry’s CSR credentials. The study focuses on greenhouse gas emissions since 2007, when sustainability efforts were first made in the dairy industry.
