Jewellery giant Cartier has been certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). Last year Cartier was named in a report by the Washington DC-based environmental pressure group Earthworks as the largest of a number of jewellery brand laggards not participating in third-party certification. The RJC certifies 260 companies against ethical, human rights, social and environmental standards.
