Unilever has joined the core group of members of the Global Business Initiative on Human Rights, whose corporate participants aim to take more account of human rights issues within their operations. The initiative said the move ‘marks a significant step in our programme’. The other core group companies are ABB, Cerrejon, Coca-Cola, Flextronics, General Electric, HP, JSL Ltd, Mansour, Novo Nordisk, Shell, and Total.
