Asian asset managers are pushing Malaysia’s stock exchange to amend its listing requirements to include CSR considerations.

The Association for Sustainable & Responsible Investment in Asia (ASrIA) has collated members’ views and sent a submission strongly encouraging Bursa Malaysia to adopt SRI principles.

ASrIA said it wants to send a ‘powerful signal to the stock exchange that investment professionals expect and value disclosure on [CSR issues]’.

The bourse is currently consulting on possible changes to its listing requirements.
