Defence Estates, which manages land owned by the UK’s defence ministry, has been awarded the Carbon Trust Standard for its work in controlling its carbon footprint. The organization helped the ministry reach its target of reducing energy consumption on its estates by 12.5 per cent two years ahead of schedule.
