Investor takes SRI into new territory

One of the world’s largest asset managers is merging its sustainable investment and emerging market equities services.

F&C, which operates in 14 countries, will establish an emerging market investment strategy built around CSR principles, and will aim to invest actively in companies that could contribute to or benefit from sustainable development trends in emerging markets.

It says combining the two areas will ‘give investors access to the growth potential of emerging economies whilst taking [CSR] into account... across the region’.
