Car manufacturer Chrysler has made an unusual foray into human rights activism with an advert calling for the release of Burmese political prisoner Aung San Suu Kyi, who has been held under house arrest by the Burma military for most of the past two decades.
Chrysler’s president, Oliver Francois, said: ‘This is a chance to use our brand image to join with others in the fight for peace.’ The advert features world leaders stepping out of Chrysler cars at the recent Nobel laureates summit in Berlin.
