Nokia stands out

Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson have been named as the ‘greenest’ electronics firms in a Greenpeace index.

The companies were rated the most responsible on the basis of toxics use, recycling and their performance on climate change in the index, which has been running since 2006. Philips was identified as the most improved, while Nintendo was rated last.
