UK football clubs have been ranked according to their boards’ social performance.
A new ‘stewardship scorecard’, drawn up by the think tank Tomorrow’s Company, rates the 20 Premier League teams according to criteria including management continuity, community involvement and long-term viability. Aston Villa top the league, with West Ham propping up the table. High-profile clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all in the bottom half.
