An Asian Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility has been established to encourage ethical practices in the region. The centre is a joint venture between the Asian Institute of Technology and CSR Asia and will be based at the institute’s Thailand headquarters.

It will aim to promote sustainability solutions in business and will try to create favourable conditions for CSR and sustainable development.

Business representatives will be able to use the centre for discussions on how to solve sustainability problems in Asia and to bring in public sector, government and civil society organizations to assist them with sustainability and community development.

The centre will provide training, research and consultancy services and hopes eventually to offer a masters degree in CSR.
