Church and faith charity fund manager CCLA has bought £3.5million ($5.4m) worth of a new five-year bond issued by the International Finance Facility for Immunization (IFFIm). IFFIm is a UK charity that funds immunization and vaccine programmes in developing countries. It is supported by governments throughout Europe, which have collectively pledged to contribute $5.3billion (£3.4bn) to IFFIm over 20 years. The CCLA purchase follows its £5m investment in March in the newly established $30m Triodos Microfinance Fund, which aims to increase access to financial services the poor in developing countries.
