Orange usurps BT in rankings

BT has lost its position of pre-eminence on CSR in the telecoms sector, according to a new analysis.
 
UK-based research consultancy Verdantix claims Orange is now the sustainability leader in the industry. Verdantix director David Metcalfe told EP: ‘BT has been – and still is – a leader on internal sustainability achievements, but now has fallen behind Orange [overall] and, given the massive cost-cutting process it has put in place, it seems unlikely that BT will be able to invest in its sustainability market offerings.’
