Claire Penny, IBM’s environmental affairs manager in Ireland, has joined the country’s government-funded Sustainable Development Council, known as Comhar, as the nominee of Business in the Community Ireland. Comhar, which has 25 members from the state sector, business, non-governmental organizations and academia, is responsible for ‘advancing the national agenda for sustainable development’, partly by preparing cross-sector work programmes.
