A soft drinks producer has become the first US company to make a juice with certified sustainably grown bananas. Naked Juice has announced the certification by the Rainforest Alliance, the environmental non-governmental organization, of the 80 per cent of its products containing bananas. All banana farms used as suppliers by Naked Juice will be required to meet environmental and social standards, including the protection of wildlife habitats and the provision of healthcare for workers.
