Mobile phone companies Telefonica and Nokia have signed an agreement to bring educational material to remote schools in Latin America by using mobile technology. The partnership will build on Telefonica’s existing educational programmes, which reached 107,000 children in Latin America last year. The first country to benefit will be Chile, where Telefonica mobile broadband and Nokia mobile software will provide geographically isolated schools with access to educational tools and resources.
