Australia’s first graduate level qualification in corporate responsibility is now being offered at La Trobe University, Victoria.

The qualification has been produced by the university’s graduate management school and the Australian Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility.

The first of the course’s four units explores the evolving role of the organization in society, covering stakeholders and the operation of corporate responsibility.

The second unit embraces stakeholder management, the measuring and reporting of corporate responsibility, strategies and frameworks, and the communicating of CSR.

The third deals with decision-making and analyses the ethical dilemmas faced by businesses.

The fourth considers the board’s responsibility in managing corporate value and risk, including an understanding of environmental, social and governance issues.
