Xstrata Coal South Africa has won the Business Excellence Award, presented annually by the Global Business Coalition on HIV/Aids, TB and Malaria. The company won the award for a public-private partnership that has extended HIV, Aids and tuberculosis testing, counselling and treatment in two health districts of Mpumalanga province in eastern South Africa, where one in four adults is HIV-positive.
