The UK’s corporate social responsibility minister, Stephen Timms, has left the post after only six months to become minister of state for employment and welfare reform at the Department for Work and Pensions. The brief has gone to energy minister Malcolm Wicks, who held it two years ago but was widely criticized for showing little interest in the subject. The reshuffle is the result of the resignation of work and pensions secretary Peter Hain.
