Wu Haoren, vice-president of Hunan Tea, said the seminar had guided companies in understanding the partnership’s standards and had shown them how to meet customer expectations.
Rupert Byerley, chairman of the partnership, whose members include Finlay Beverages and Bell Tea, New Zealand’s biggest supplier, outlined the organization’s role in assuring retailers and consumers that tea from its members was sourced from socially responsible producers.
