A 'fair trade' cigarette company has begun trading in the UK. 1st Nation Cigarettes claims to source its tobacco from native Mohawk tobacco manufacturers in Malawi, but cannot achieve official Fairtrade status because there are no standards written to cover tobacco production. The Fairtrade Foundation said: 'We don't have any plans to approve tobacco products, but it is not something we would completely discount.'
