Nineteen British 'boutique' consultancies have joined forces to market their corporate social responsibility services.
The firms, none of which has more than 10 staff, have come together in an umbrella group called the CSR Consortium so that they can offer clients a 'full range' of services.
Their areas of specialization include work-life balance, health and safety, the environment, ethical supply chain management, regeneration and stakeholder dialogue - and overall they claim to be able to cover almost any topic for a client.
'There are a number of consultancies that offer a range of CSR expertise, but we don't believe there are any that cover the breadth of topics that we do collectively,' said Mervin Straughan, CSR Consortium chairman and founder of consortium member StraughanConsulting.
Among the member firms, which are all based in the North of England but will service the UK and the global market, are FWA Consulting, Ixabiso, Primeast, Quest Public Relations, Walton Environmental, SaltaSustainable, PeopleProfitPlanet and Abraxas Business Solutions.
The consortium members have not entered into legal arrangements, but have pledged to work together.
