Nick Robins is leaving Henderson Global Investors, where he is head of SRI Funds, to lead the HSBC Group’s newly created Climate Change Centre of Excellence. Robins, who moves next month, will be at HSBC’s London office, reporting to David Burnett, head of global research, and Jon Williams, head of group development. The centre is to evaluate climate change implications for HSBC and ‘act as a catalyst to stimulate greater understanding of the scientific, regulatory and economic dimensions’. HSBC has also appointed Sir Nicholas Stern, former World Bank chief economist and author of the Stern report on climate change, as special adviser on economic development and climate change.
