ABN Amro has won this year’s Financial Times Sustainable Bank of the Year award. The Dutch bank’s Indian operation, ABN Amro India, was winner in the global emerging markets category. Now in their second year, the awards recognize banks that show ‘leadership and innovation in integrating social, environmental and corporate governance objectives into their operations’. This year more than 100 banks in 51 countries entered. Runner-up in the main category was Barclays.
