A website has been set up to keep stakeholders in Malaysia informed of
companies’ ethical standards. The CSR Malaysia Community Portal is
aimed at giving a clear understanding of CSR issues to consumers,
employees, investors and communities.
CSR Malaysia said: ‘Our aim is to build an interface between businesses, both small and large, and stakeholders of all types to help everybody to be clear about the priorities for CSR in Malaysia.’
It added that the portal ‘aims to provide an open gateway for stakeholders to share their experiences’ while offering companies, ‘a more representative arena than industry-dominated talking shop’ for engaging with interested parties. ‘We aim to provide a space where you can really see what your stakeholders think,’ it said.
The portal will link up with other community and business networks, post regular research briefings and opportunities to contribute to the research of CSR Malaysia partners, and show links to research papers by leading academics.
