The pension fund of the UK’s Environment Agency voted on 49 shareholder resolutions relating to sustainability in the US last year, according to latest figures. The agency said this represented an increase of 80 per cent from the previous year, and was largely a result of its new ‘environmental overlay strategy’, which entails the fund becoming more active on social and environmental issues.
