The Vodafone Group Foundation has announced a $2million (£1.066m) five-year plan to fund the humanitarian NGO Telecoms Sans Frontieres so it can send rapid response teams with the latest telecoms technology to support United Nations emergency response efforts within 48 hours of a disaster.  In a separate move, Oxfam has set up a fund for corporate donors that will pay for its initial response to disasters. To become donors, companies must commit at least £500,000 over three years. The charity wants to raise £7.9million a year.
