HSBC's Global Education Trust has announced a £1million ($1.9m) partnership with the UK's Department for Education and Skills to provide a year's private tuition for children in care. The donation follows HSBC's recent introduction of Future First, a five-year global programme that from 2007 will work with the SOS Children's Villages charity to improve the lives of a million street children and children in care by providing education, healthcare, counselling and shelter.
