have any awareness of CSR principles, reports CPA Australia, which
interviewed 351 qualified accountants and associates. This compares
with 16 per cent in Malaysia and 24 per cent in Singapore.
The report also found that only 27 per cent of Hong Kong businesses agreed that listed companies and the government should support CSR, compared with 34 per cent in Malaysia and 45 per cent in Singapore.
CPA Australia thinks corporations in Hong Kong concentrate on short-term profits and neglect their social responsibilities.
