The Specsavers optical services chain has been shortlisted in the CSR category of this year’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations Excellence Awards. Specsavers is named for its cause-related marketing campaign with the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity, run by the Beattie Communications public relations agency. Among other finalists are GlaxoSmithKline for its Active Lives health campaign run with Blue Rubicon, Tesco for its Sport for Schools & Clubs programme with the Launch Group agency, and the Weber Shandwick PR agency for its own Stop Violence in the Home campaign. Winners will be announced on 3 July.
