The European Commission’s head of employment strategy, Robert Strauss, has been handed the EC’s corporate social responsibility brief, which previously rested with Dominique Be, head of social dialogue and industrial relations. Strauss deals more with national governments than businesses, suggesting greater emphasis will be put on the co-ordination of national CSR policies. The move is part of a wider reorganization at the Commission.
