Software to help businesses manage their emissions is being made available in Japan and Korea thanks to an alliance formed between a Japanese environmental consultancy and an American information technology company.

The Environmental Management for Sustainability (EMSI) company in Tokyo has struck the deal with Environmental Software Providers (ESP), of California.

EMSI will be the reseller for ESP's software suites, which are being adopted by mid-sized to large companies throughout the world to manage sustainability programmes and local, regional and national regulatory programmes, including greenhouse gas and eco-efficiency initiatives.

Korea Environmental Management Partners, an EMSI subsidiary, will offer the software in Korea.
