The CSR Academy began an international programme of training last month
in conjunction with its newly-appointed global training partner, BSI
Management Systems.
The training company has been awarded international rights to use the Academy's CSR Competency Framework until 2007 and is planning a series of training sessions. The first will be held in China, Japan and Korea, followed by Europe and the Americas.
The programme opened last month with a seminar in Korea attended by 60 companies including Daewoo International, Hyundai Motor Company and Samsung Electronics.
The CSR Academy started as a UK initiative, set up by the British government, aimed at providing training for organizations that are integrating corporate responsibility within more than one management discipline.
Its popularity in the UK - and need for cash to continue - prompted the academy to look for a partner to market its programmes worldwide.
BSI is the world's largest management systems registrar.
