ExxonMobil has committed $1.5million (£857,000) to fight malaria in Africa, where it has large gas exploration and production operations. The cash for vaccines and prevention programmes will be channelled through the company’s Africa Health Initiative, set up in 2000 to support public health programmes in Africa through public-private partnerships.
