Ethical Investment Research Services says only a quarter of the 113 companies it analysed in these sectors have declared policies on whistleblowing, bribery, political donations and compliance monitoring, even though they are in industries judged by Eiris to be most exposed to bribery and corruption risks. Of the 23 developed countries analysed, Hong Kong and Singapore were found to have the fewest companies with high ethical code standards. The study covered 2400 companies in all.
