Community investment of the UK’s Co-operative Group rose to 3.2 per cent of pre-tax profits last year, up from 2.5 per cent in 2003, despite a fall in annual profits of around £83million ($141m). Total community investment last year was £7.3m compared with £6.8m in 2003.
