Australia & New Zealand Banking and the Australian Government are forming an initiative called MoneyBusiness aimed at promoting money management and a stronger savings culture among indigenous communities. MoneyBusiness, due to start next March, will be piloted for three years in six areas of the Northern Territory and Western Australia.

Under the scheme, trained indigenous people will work in their communities giving coaching in financial literacy, budgeting, bill paying and developing savings plans.
