More
than half of staff who give time to communities through employee
volunteering feel more productive at work. A survey by Community
Service Volunteers of 1000 staff at 11 companies, among them Abbey,
Allied Domecq, Barclays, Dixons and UnumProvident, found that 53 per
cent felt they were more productive. Nearly a quarter said they would
be less likely to leave a company with a volunteering scheme.
