Anglian Water of the UK has been included on the shortlist for the 1999 Environment Reporting Awards, which it won last year.
The shortlisted 16 for the awards, which are run by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), are: Anglian Water, B&Q, BA, BAA, BP Amoco, BT, Eastern Group, the Environment Agency, Scottish Power, Thames Water, United Utilities, Bovince, Shields Environmental, Biffa Waste Services, The Boots Company and RMC Group.
Roger Adams, ACCA’s head of technical services, said he was ‘particularly pleased’ that a number of smaller companies had entered reports this year. Bovince is a printing company and Shields Environmental is an environment technology group.
The shortlist was chosen from 64 entries, including some in CD-Rom, video and website formats.
The winner of this year’s award, which will be announced in February 2000, will go forward to the fourth European Environmental Awards along with companies from Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Denmark and Germany.
