A phrase in an official Australian document suggesting that socially responsible investment may be more costly than other types of investment is to be removed after lobbying from the country’s Ethical Investment Association. The Australian Treasury agreed to remove the phrase, which was to have been in the Australian government’s consumer advisory warnings on literature relating to pension products.
