A not-for-profit organization is to promote sustainable investment in emerging markets. Zurich-based VantagePoint’s first task will be to create a venture capital fund to make financial and managerial resources available to microfinance fund providers and other niche investment businesses in China, India, Turkey and elsewhere. David Blood, managing partner of Generation Investment Management, is among backers of the venture, which is led by Alois Flatz, former head of research at Sustainable Asset Management.
