Northern Rock has written to its 20 largest shareholders inviting ‘comment and questions’ on its CSR performance and reporting. Their responses  ‘indicated that our CSR approach is not having an effect on their decisions’, the the UK mortgage lender and savings bank notes in its recently published Community Report. Northern Rock is consistently among the most popular stocks with ethical fund managers.
