Companies that provide social and environmental data for indices run by FTSE4Good and Business in the Community will eventually have to answer only one set of streamlined questions, thanks to a new agreement between FTSE and Bitc. Work on dovetailing the two sets of environmental questions has already begun and should be complete in time for companies entering Bitc’s Corporate Responsibility Index next year. Both organizations also intend to avoid duplication in other areas of data collection for the two indices during the next three years.
